24 Hours of Lemons – July 23-25

No, we didn’t misspell LeMans. This is our third season at the 24 Hours of LEMONS!

If you want to know what it feels like to be on the grid, lined up with 60 other drivers, a race wheel in your hand and victory on your mind, then please do not miss our third entry into this legendary jalopy race.

In our first attempt, our wreck-a-racer won the award for the Fastest German Hooptie on the track. If it wasn’t for the multiple contact penalties and over consumption or PBR, our little racer would have taken the checkered for sure. Last year, we crashed hard 3 hours into the race, procured and purchased a parts car to rebuild and still came in midpack after spending 5 hours in the pits! This year, we’re going for the top step on the podium and we want you to take us there as one of our drivers.

Before reaching the grid, you’ll have to survive trials like the Personal-Injury-Lawyer Anti-Slalom, the Marxist-Valet Parking Challenge, and the Wide Open Throttle Rodthrowapalooza.

Twelve hours into the race, the car voted People’s Choice is called in and awarded a cash prize; simultaneously, the car voted People’s Curse is called in and destroyed. At the end of 24 hours, a gala awards ceremony plies the survivors with trophies, plaques, and four-figure purses in canvas bags full of nickels.

Performance Driving School – August 23rd

Looking to hone your skills behind the wheel?

Whether you want to improve your skills for the road or garner the tools necessary to put down fast laps at the track, our high performance driving school is a must for any CCC’er that’s serious about driving.

The program will include instruction on the autocross and wet skidpad covering:

- Vehicle Dynamics, weight transfer and the contact patch
- Skid Control and Recovery
- Tightening Radius Corners
- Emergency Lane Changes
- Slalom

While we’ve all been told to “turn into a skid” there’s are many steps beyond that if you want to have a chance of regaining control in slippery conditions… the only way to overcome your instinct is to practice in a closed environment. You’ll leave with the tools necessary to hone your skills on the big track and to get more enjoyment on the road.

There are two Sessions to choose from: Morning (7AM-1:30PM) or Afternoon (11AM-5:30PM)
Space is limited, RSVP with Jeannette.
$750pp, Lunch and Transportation Included.

European Rally – Track Axis – September 13-16

Once a year, Classic Car Club Manhattan goes on an epic rally through Europe. We’ve powered through the UK, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Belgum, France, Italy and Austria, but when it comes to driving, nothing quite compares to Germany……so we’re going back.

Tap a fellow member that’s been on a prior CCC European Rally To Hell, and they’ll tell you quite a bit with a look, but not much otherwise. It’s not because rallyists are sworn to secrecy, or some clandestine brotherhood – it’s because few words can properly describe four days unleashed and at the limit.

In the past, we’ve packed 2,000 miles across multiple countries into a mere four days, but this year, we’re sticking to the automotive motherlands of Germany and Belgium, and you’ll put those miles down on the Autobahn and the two undisputed greatest tracks in the world – Germany’s Nurburgring and Spa-Francorchamps of Belgium.

Simply get yourself to Frankfurt on the moring of Monday, September 13th. From there, we’ll cover the rest. You’ll beat down the Autobahn, you’ll drive Spa for a day, you’ll drive Nurburgring for a day and you’ll get your Uber Oktoerfest in as well. We will return to the States on Thursday, September 16th. $4,250 per person, spaces are limited so reserve your spot with Michael today.
